Proud Boys Controversy

Let me start out by saying that I don’t believe any race is superior to any other. We are all selfish assholes looking out for our own self interest … no matter what color your skin is. With that being said … what I’m about to say is probably going to piss off some people and have other people screaming …

If you can’t entertain a different point of view for a moment or are easily triggered … do me a favor and just leave now and go watch some cat videos.

If you’re still with me, here we go …

I know this goes against everything that you hear on the news and it will be hard for you to believe because it goes against the ideology you’ve blindly bought into … but it’s true. The real reason for the rise of white nationalism has nothing to do with Trump and has everything to do with the hypocrisy of the media. I’m not talking about the “Fake News” bullshit that Trump whines about like a broken record every time he hears something he doesn’t agree with … I’m talking about an agenda the media is pushing and the blatant hypocrisy that no one is allowed to address or they get shouted down as a racist. Don’t believe me? Hear me out!

White supremacist groups existed when Obama was elected president, correct!? You’d think they would have lost their shit and came out of the woodwork when a BLACK president was elected!? That is a white supremacists nightmare! But I don’t remember hearing much about white supremacists during that time? They grumbled about the election results but pretty much kept to themselves. When they complained about having a president that was black they were told by the media that our country is moving into a new era and their ideas about race were outdated and have no place in the dialogue of this country.

Then comes the Black Lives Matter movement and the media embraces it and makes it a top story every night on the evening news, endorsing it … promoting it … praising it. Repeating how much Black Lives Matter and how ALL white people are to blame for the problems black people face. They make a point to highlight and keep repeating any story where a white officer shoots a black man and label him guilty without even hearing the facts. Every news story suddenly is about race.

So …. the media lambasted white supremacists for their views about race but now support that view when it comes to black people.

What the fuck did you think was going to happen!?

Everything the media covers now is about black people and how ALL white people are racist. THAT is why you see white nationalism coming to the surface in the form of groups like the Proud Boys. People don’t like being told they are something they are not.

At first, people understood what the protests were about and didn’t have a problem with them. Any rational person could see what happened to George Floyd was wrong and the protests were a natural reaction to the injustice seen on the video … but it quickly turned into something else.

With the unwavering support of the media and weak politicians who are terrified of being …

“on the wrong side of history”

… the Black Lives Matter movement demanded they be allowed to paint their message on a public street. If they were not granted this demand they would scream that the city was racist and it’s proof of the systemic racism in our culture. Get the fuck outta here! So, with no politician having the guts to tell them “No. This is a public street.” … they painted the words BLACK LIVES MATTER in huge letters large enough to see from outer space.

How is this not racist!? Can you imagine a street with the words White Lives Matter painted on it? Holy Fucking Shit! Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson would trip over each other trying to get there first to denounce it and scream racism! Yet … the street painted in Hollywood somehow is not racist. When shit like this happens … some white people start to get upset at the blatant hypocrisy.

Some people started to question the motives of the movement since it was supposed to be about “equality” and asked “Don’t all lives matter?” and oh my God … people lost their shit!

This isn’t about white people, this is about black people!”

(Ummm … isn’t that statement inherently racist?)

People like Billie Eilish went off the deep end with diatribes like this:

Uh … Billie … I think your “woke” ideology has blinded you from seeing the reality of what’s going on. The whole generation she is a part of has been duped. They want equality for everybody but the shit going on now with the Black Lives Matter is not about equality … it’s a race war and it’s being fueled by the media … not The President.

If you support the movement then I’m sure your eye is starting to twitch and your screaming …

“Black people just want equality and that’s what they are protesting!”

Yes, that may be what it started out as but clearly it has morphed into something completely different now. The lines and message have blurred and now you have Antifa and NFAC that are advocating for separation from whites and the Black Lives Matter movement isn’t necessarily trying to separate themselves from this bullshit:

John Jay Fitzgerald Johnson, known as Grand Master Jay, claims leadership of the group[6] and has stated that it is composed of “ex military shooters.”[7] Johnson, who was an independent candidate for U.S. president in 2016,[6] stated, “We are a Black militia. We aren’t protesters, we aren’t demonstrators. We don’t come to sing, we don’t come to chant. That’s not what we do.”[8] Furthermore, in the same interview, Johnson expressed Black Nationalist views, putting forth the view that the United States should either hand the state of Texas over to African-Americans so that they may form an independent country, or allow African-Americans to depart the United States to another country that would provide land upon which to form an independent nation.[4] – excerpt from Wikipedia

I’m sure if you support Black Lives Matter then you would say that is a fringe group and you can’t cluster them in with the legitimate protests. Well … not all white people are racists … but Black Lives Matter sure doesn’t have a problem lumping all white people together and calling them ALL racists!

White people are getting tired of being called racists and tired of the hypocrisy which is why you are seeing groups like the Proud Boys forming. Black people scream about wanting to be equal but until you get rid of BET, The NAACP Image Awards, Miss Black USA Scholarship Pageant, The National Urban League, The Congressional Black Caucus and all the other “black only” groups … nobody is buying that you want equality. You see the hypocrisy, right!?

Yahoo now has a section for stories that are exclusively black. What would happen if there was a section for white people only? Oh yeah! There was and laws were written to make it illegal … yet it’s okay for black people to do it now. It has now become accepted to promote Black Owned shops! Do you think they could have a section for White Owned shops. Fuck No!

Why is that even a category!? Should it matter if the shop owner is black … or should it just matter if you like the shit they’re selling!? Etsy recently took things a step further and removed any merchandise that was related to the Proud Boys.

Their explanation was as follows:

Selling such items violates the company’s policies prohibiting “among other things, hate against protected identities [and] attempting to incite violence against individuals or groups.”

If this is their policy then why is it okay for them to continue selling this:

… or this …

Last time I checked the Black Panthers were a militant group that stood for black pride. How is that different from white pride? Answer: It’s not!

The media is playing a dangerous game with the country and unfortunately there are too many people who let emotion get in the way of rational thinking and blindly believe the narrative the media is pushing. So if you think that The President is responsible for the rise in white nationalism, I would have to disagree. It is the media that is responsible and Trump is the scapegoat!

As usual, hate mail goes to if I’ve offended you.

Internet Trolls

As with everything … there is a positive side and a negative side. Yin and Yang. Balance. This has never been more true than with social media. It has allowed people to stay in contact with friends and family much easier than any other time in history. The down side of social media is that it gives every dumb asshole a platform to say stupid shit … and other dumb assholes parrot it … until it trends and become a news story.

It’s great there is now a movement empowering women to feel good about themselves and embrace their bodies as beautiful … no matter their size or shape. It is finally becoming accepted to have “plus size” models grace the covers of magazines. Why they are called plus size models is beyond me … because these are just real women. Women are supposed to have curves!

I don’t know who in the fashion industry decided that the ideal woman was supposed to have the body of a 10 year old boy? Maybe it’s easier to design clothes on a stick … I don’t know?

Or … maybe there’s another reason why … but I’m not going to dip my toe in that water.

So now the movement is to accept ALL women as beautiful and I think that’s great! Society has finally started to collectively make the shift to accept women as beautiful the way they are. Big. Small. Black. White. Yellow. There is even a model with Vitiligo named Winnie Harlow gracing the covers of magazines and redefining beauty.

We don’t get to choose the body we’re born with so we have to love what we are given and understand that variety is the spice of life. There is someone out there for everybody and someone who thinks you are perfect just the way you are. As a society we are becoming more accepting of women and seeing beauty in many forms …

… unless you’re old!

Apparently if you’re old, society doesn’t want to see it. Suzanne Somers recently posted a picture of herself on her Instagram account in her “birthday suit” sitting in a field. It was unassuming and tasteful …

… but assholes started ripping her to shreds for posting such a photo.

So, apparently there are limits to our new renaissance of acceptance … age. We are willing to accept women in their many forms … if they are young. Although we are becoming accepting of different body types … we don’t want to see old bodies.

There are pictures on the internet with Lizzo in her “birthday suit” and everyone is cheering her on and screaming body beautiful. Tess Holiday is posing and people are giving her praise.

So why not Suzanne? We’re accepting of overweight women but not old women. Doesn’t that seem to be missing the mark of the beauty movement? Aren’t all women beautiful … regardless of size, color or age.

Why don’t you post a picture of yourself when making some shitty comment so we can critique you!? I’m guessing you probably look like this …

… which is why you post comments anonymously.

What do you care if she posts a picture of herself … everyone else is! How is it any different than the pictures above?

This is the same woman who once posed in Playboy …

… and no one gave her shit then.

If we want to pat ourselves on the back as being so progressive in our beliefs … then we have to accept pictures like the ones Suzanne posted. She looks pretty damn good for 73 years old! Everybody feels the need to share their opinions because everyone feels that their opinion matters. If you don’t have anything nice to say … don’t say anything at all. We have this amazing technology at our fingertips that allows us to comment instantly on anything we see. Maybe, that’s not such a great thing. There’s no time spent thinking about what you’re going to say … or if it should even be said.

When you blurt out something stupid to a few friends, they call you an idiot and it ends there. With social media, you are able to say something and the whole world can view it instantly. Maybe we should pause and think about what we are about to say? Is the first thing that comes out of your mouth usually your best comment!? I know it’s not for me. There are many times I will say something and after hearing someone else’s opinion … I realize mine was reactive, immature and not well thought out.

If you are one of the people quick to comment, maybe stop and think for a second before you hit post.

California Politician’s Hypocrisy

Gavin Newsom
David Chiu

A few days ago Governor Newsom signed Assembly Bill 1482. Under this new law property owners across the state cannot increase rent by more than 5% annually. David Chiu (D-SanFrancisco) authored the bill and stated “Our bill ensures tenants are protected against rent gouging …”

I won’t comment on whether I believe this is a good or bad bill because it’s irrelevant to the point I want to make. What I WANT to do is draw attention to the sheer hypocrisy of the governing body of California.

Let’s break this down.

In 1978 a landmark bill named Proposition 13 was passed by California voters. The bill limited the government’s power to increase property taxes to 2% annually. At the time, California County Assessors were pricing people out of their homes with re-assessed home values to try to increase their revenue. Although the government aggressively fought to defeat the passage of this bill … the voters prevailed.

Essentially, it was a law to prevent government from gouging property owners.

California government has constantly tried to repeal or knock down Prop 13 because it dramatically decreased the amount of revenue they can collect from property owners. Now the California Government has a ballot measure on the 2020 ballot to reform Prop 13 to re-assess commercial properties every three years thus creating a windfall in revenues for the State … at the expense of property owners.

In case any of you are having a hard time spotting the hypocrisy … let me spell it out for you. Apparently the government doesn’t like limits being put on it’s ability to collect revenue but they have no problem putting limits on their constituent’s ability to collect revenue. California is trying to get rid of the limit put on them while concurrently putting limits on property owners. I’m no scholar … but that sure seems to be the definition of hypocrisy to me!

Obviously a huge increase in rent is a problem that many people can’t afford. So, on it’s face, the bill seems like a good idea but it goes against free enterprise. I understand that something needs to be done to prevent people from their rent skyrocketing but when you have government stepping in and placing limits on property owners while at the same time trying to strike down a law that puts limits on the government … it just seems a little hypocritical.

Now looking towards the future …

Am I the only one nervous about the Government’s attack on Proposition 13!?

There is no limit to the amount of money the State Government wants to collect from it’s tax payers. What’s worse is that the majority of Californians take joy in fucking themselves over. There was already a state gas tax that goes to pay for roads … but it wasn’t enough for our money hungry state politicians … so they proposed another tax and it passed! Where the fuck are these Californians that keep voting for more taxes!?

Honestly, I’m a bit nervous about this ballot initiative to reform Prop 13 because I don’t have any faith left in my fellow Californians! They seem to be the easiest group of people to dupe! A $9-billion dollar bond Californians passed in 2008 to build a bullet train! Has anyone taken a ride on that bullet train yet!?

The government says it will only reform Prop 13 to affect commercial properties. Yeah, right! … and I’m holding the winning Lottery ticket for tonight’s drawing. Maybe they’ll start with that but once they earmark that money for some free program for illegal immigrants, they will be looking for another revenue source! You don’t think they are going to go after residential home owners when that time comes!?

How gullible are you? Rhetorical question!

People Who Do Not RSVP

RSVP is an acronym for Répondez s’il vous plaît. It’s French for respond if you please. The literal translation to English gives the sense of ambiguity with the phrase if you please. It comes across this way only because of the grammatical structure of the French language. A true representation in English would be “please respond.” It’s not meant to translate if you feel like it. A response is always required … unless you are a self-absorbed asshole who doesn’t give a shit about being a decent human being.

I’m not quite sure when it became common place to ignore an RSVP? Actually … now that I think about it … I don’t think it’s ever become accepted to ignore an RSVP. Really, it just speaks volumes about a person’s lack of character when they ignore the RSVP!

The thing that pisses me off the most is the hypocrisy of some non-RSVP-ers. A person can ignore your RSVP numerous times but when they throw a get together and you don’t RSVP … they are outraged. An analogy would be a criminal who steals, knowing it’s wrong but still justifies their actions … and then when they are robbed, they get pissed.

It has never been easier to RSVP with the current technology … and people still don’t do it! Sure, in times past when you had to sit down, write out a response, find a stamp to put on the envelope and take it to the post office … it could be deemed laborious. Although it did not give you a legitimate excuse not to RSVP … it could be conceived that the person genuinely didn’t have the time to get it in the mail. Now you can RSVP on your phone … that you’re staring at for 18 fucking hours a day … and all that is required is clicking a button! It literally takes 3 seconds … and yet there are still people who don’t RSVP!

On a separate note … what is the maybe attending bullshit!? Make a fucking decision! If you click maybe what you are essentially saying is: “If nothing better comes up, I’ll come to your shitty party.”

Honestly, I don’t give a shit if you come or not …

… but I DO want to know how much food I have to get. I don’t want to end up with a refrigerator full of leftovers that I eventually have to throw out or be short on food if you fail to let me know you’re coming … and then show up!

Come on people! It’s never been easier to RSVP to an invite. Don’t be that person! If you’re worried about hurting someone’s feelings by not attending … don’t you think they’ll be more upset if you just never acknowledge their invite? If you don’t RSVP you’re basically saying to them that they’re not even worth 3 seconds of your time. That would sting more than you just not attending. Just saying …
